August 24th, 2020
We’re certainly not whining about this upcoming
holiday: Friday, August 28 is National Red Wine Day! Celebrate by checking out
some of the best beverages Baltimore has to offer at local wine shops and wine bars.
Bin 604 has moved to a new, larger location in
the Liberty Harbor East building, just a block away from your apartment at
Spinnaker Bay! Despite changing
their address, they will be keeping the 604 in their name, which represents the
street number of their previous location.
The store has “bin” a Baltimore favorite since
the early 2000s for their unbeatable selection of wines, ranging from everyday
selections to rare bottles for collectors and casual wine-lovers alike.
What better way to celebrate National Red Wine
Day than bringing home a bottle of your favorite! Pour a glass for a roommates’
night in or a Zoom call with old friends. Feeling fancy? Chef up a new recipe that pairs well with red wine, or just
pair your pour with some pizza and popcorn for a movie night.
With the additional space, Bin 604 will be
hosting classes, workshops and tastings, so make sure to follow their social
media pages for updates on events. See photos of their mouthwatering offerings
on their Instagram page.
Relax with a night out on the waterfront and enjoy
some vino at V-No in nearby Fells Point! You can also take a bottle to-go from the wine shop,
with a diverse selection of wines from around the globe.
You can be your own bartender at Serenity Wine
Cafe in Locust Point. Choose from a 1, 3 or 6 ounce pour and select
from an incredible selection of different wines to find your new favorite.
Plus, every Monday night is Trivia Night with Charm City Trivia!
13.5% Wine Bar in Hampden is open for
carry-out. In addition to an assortment of wines, they have a great menu of
elevated bar favorites, like a spicy chorizo flatbread, garlic parm chicken
wings, and more.
Located in B-more’s historic Old Goucher
neighborhood, Fadensonnen is a fantastic beer garden and wine bar. You’ll find unique options in a unique
environment, with a collection focused on ethically-produced, small-batch
drinks and a great live music scene.
Wherever you choose to celebrate National Red
Wine Day, we hope you have a great time!
